There's more comedy in this film than the prequel Thor films. And I like it. I was very entertained. I can see a lot of audience laughs at the scene of the characters. It's not that too serious. It's just right comedy and fits the plot.

Korg. Don't be deceived by his physical appearance. Sorry to spoil you but he's the funniest character in the film :D

Also, a praise for the OST of this film. It sounds retro. It blends with the colorful design of the title.

Some moviegoers said there's still a last end credit scene aside to the mid-credit scene. I regret missing the last one because my bladder is going to explode. The film length is more than two hours long. So take ease with drinking your softdrinks when watching this film. You wouldn't want to miss the funny and important scenes.

My rating for this movie is: 4.3 / 5.0

So we went to the cinema with my family, dragged by my niece to watch this book-based film - The Maze Runner. It's just that her teacher made them believe it was a very good film. Let's see with my review if it really is.

The story start with a guy inside a running elevator. Then upon reaching the top, he was crowded with dozen other guys. The film will make you think "what's really happening here"... even the character doesn't know what he is doing there . . . of course! It makes it more thrilling. I know from the title itself, It's about maze and the first time i heard about this film coming, I didn't bother to get hooked. All i know is it's based from a novel of the same title.

I have no idea what's the story is all about. I just get along to watch and see it for myself.

And so, there's a maze. Their goal is to get out of the maze to find the truth because all of them were brainwashed and doesn't know why they're there. I was expecting there would be different booby traps in the maze but what was put there are spider-like chasing creatures. And added to that, is moving walls at specific period and that's it. The thrill factor is insufficient. There's a lot of talks in the film than make you jump out of your seat.

Also, not sure why there's Ellen DeGeneres in Thomas dreams...

Moreover, It will leave you completely thinking what's the virus about. Is it the same virus stung by the spider-like chasing creatures? What happens if the virus was left to you un-medicated?

My rating of this film: 3.5 / 5.0

Godzilla (2014)

I watched Godzilla yesterday which is second to the modern remake of American version of this film. I must say it's worth a watch. I'm satisfied with the film as a whole. But i can't help and notice the long human story scenes.

I'm so eager to see Godzilla arise from the sea but it's almost half an hour already and I'm bored to watch the human story. Since this is first series of Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, I considered the flow of the story as there's much to say what they are, the M.U.T.O. and Godzilla. Around an hour already, the real action begins. I don't need to summarized, I'm spoiling already :P

I praise the team behind this 2014 Godzilla film. They maintain Godzilla's trait like when it's about to breathe fire, Its back shines. Godzilla's physical appearance closely resembles what's in the first Japanese series and now is more realistically looking. The Godzilla roar have improved. And comparing it to 1998 Godzilla film, the 2014 is much better.

If ever they'll do a sequel to this version which is i think they will not (see Wiki here), I suggest the following:

  • please lengthen the fight between Godzilla and the M.U.T.O. I think, It needs more focus than human story. Balance the story between the human character and Godzilla. It's Godzilla's film, not the human cast. Godzilla deserve to appear more in the camera.
  • add more Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism (M.U.T.O.) or whatever they call it. Revive Godzilla's enemies from the Japanese series. It would be awesome!
  • please give alias to M.U.T.O. not that we just know it's a M.U.T.O, they also deserve to be named. If they'll do a sequel, they must name them.

Enjoy watching the film too.

Thanks!
