If you watched and love the Shingeki no Kyojin anime or also known as "Attack on Titan", think twice before you watch the live film version in your local cinema. This is a friendly advice from me, an Attack of Titan fan.
Note: The next paragraph may contain spoiler and a lot of disappointment.
I understand that most films based from a media like book or anime, there's always "Hey! That didn't happen in the book!", that's because they're twisting the story. They're adding something in the film and sometimes they're removing some of it. They do it to compact the story and meet the limited duration of a typical film ranging from 2 hours or 2-hours-and-a-half.
I don't mind any little fabrication in the film like what some Directors did in the Harry Potter film series, films based on books by Dan Brown, etc. I do react negatively when they totally ruined the work of the original author. They did a lot of fabrication. That's why I'm very disappointed with this film. First, because of what they did with the characters. It became far less faithful to the original manga/anime:
Lastly, the outcome of the story. Given their uninteresting fabrication to the story, original Attack on Titan fan like me surely would not anticipate any sequel from this Live action film. (Note: sequel after the second part of this live-action film that will be released this coming September 2015)
I've actually given this 6.0 / 10.0 in IMDB. It's not totally a bad film. Non-Attack of Titan fans may appreciate this film without the influence of the original story.
Thanks!

- Eren showing his affection to Mikasa. That's not Eren!
- Mikasa is showing her sweet side. That's not Mikasa!
- Armin is missing. They said he's included in this film. I heard someone in the film calling 'Armin' but I find no blonde or someone getting scared.
- they've added a lot of annoying characters making it a little funny. They've added a fat guy showing immense strength where he may be at par with a Titan. And another guy somewhat who mentored Mikasa, WTF!
Lastly, the outcome of the story. Given their uninteresting fabrication to the story, original Attack on Titan fan like me surely would not anticipate any sequel from this Live action film.
